Marketplace & Content Licensing Terms
Terms for publishing, purchasing, and using templates, components, vectors, and plugins on the Revyme marketplace.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Scope
These Marketplace Terms supplement the Revyme Terms & Conditions and apply whenever you publish to, browse, acquire from, or use content obtained through the Revyme marketplace — templates, components, vectors, plugins, and any other listing type we add ("Listings"). By publishing or acquiring a Listing you accept these terms.
These terms are governed by French law (Code civil, Code de la propriété intellectuelle, Code de la consommation) and applicable EU regulations.
2. Definitions
- Creator — the account that publishes a Listing.
- Buyer — any account that acquires a Listing, whether free or paid.
- Open-source Listing — a Listing whose Creator has chosen to make its source code visible and available to Buyers.
- Closed-source Listing — a Listing whose Creator has chosen to keep its source code hidden. Buyers can use it through the Revyme editor, but the source is not made available to them.
- Remix — the act of copying a Listing into your own workspace to build upon it.
3. Creator Terms
3.1 Ownership and warranties
You retain full ownership of and copyright in everything you publish. By publishing a Listing you represent and warrant that:
- The work is your own original creation, or you hold all rights needed to publish it under these terms
- It does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights
- It contains no malicious code, tracking beyond what the listing discloses, or unlawful content
- Any third-party assets included (fonts, images, libraries) are licensed for this redistribution
3.2 License you grant to Revyme
To operate the marketplace, you grant Revyme a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote your Listing (including thumbnails and previews) within the service and in marketing for the service. This license ends for a Listing when you remove it, except for copies already acquired by Buyers, which remain licensed to them under Section 4.
3.3 Review and removal
Listings are subject to review before publication and to re-review when their code changes. We may reject or remove any Listing at our discretion, including for infringement claims, quality, or security issues.
3.4 Paid Listings and payouts
For paid Listings, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Revyme retains a platform commission on each sale as displayed in the creator dashboard at the time of sale; the remainder accrues to the Creator and is paid out per the schedule and method in the creator dashboard. You are responsible for your own taxes on payout income. Where a purchase is refunded under Section 6, the corresponding accrual is reversed.
3.5 Source visibility choice
The open- or closed-source setting on your Listing controls what Buyers receive under Section 4. Choosing "closed source" does not affect Revyme's ability to store, process, review, and serve the source as needed to operate the service.
4. Buyer License
4.1 What you get — all Listings
When you acquire a Listing (free or paid) you receive a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it to build, publish, and operate websites through Revyme — including websites you build for clients. You do not acquire ownership of the Listing or its source code, which remain the Creator's property.
You may not, for any Listing:
- Republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Listing (or a trivially modified version of it) as a template, component, plugin, theme, starter, or similar product — on Revyme or anywhere else
- Represent the Listing as your own original work
- Use the Listing to create a product whose primary value is the Listing itself
4.2 Open-source Listings
For Open-source Listings, the source code is visible to you and you may study and modify it within the projects you build. Redistribution limits in 4.1 still apply — "open source" on the marketplace describes visibility, not a general redistribution license, unless the Creator's listing explicitly attaches one (e.g. MIT).
4.3 Closed-source Listings
For Closed-source Listings, your license covers using the Listing through the Revyme editor and publishing pipeline only. The source code is not part of what you acquire. You must not:
- Extract, copy, decompile, or reconstruct the Listing's source code by any means, including inspecting network traffic, exporting project data, or loading project data into other software (including self-hosted instances of the Revyme editor)
- Circumvent or disable any technical measure that keeps the source hidden
- Publish, share, or redistribute source so obtained
Doing any of the above is a material breach of these terms and an infringement of the Creator's copyright, for which the Creator may pursue remedies directly against you in addition to any action we take.
4.4 Traceability
Copies of Listings delivered to your account may embed unique, invisible identifiers. If a Closed-source Listing's source appears outside Revyme, these identifiers can establish which account it was delivered to. By acquiring a Listing you consent to this marking.
4.5 Relationship to the open-source Revyme editor
The Revyme editor is available as open-source software under the AGPL-3.0. That license covers the editor software only. It does not grant any rights to marketplace content, and does not excuse compliance with this Section 4 — running a self-hosted editor does not convert a Closed-source Listing into an open one.
5. Paid Listings — Purchases
Prices are shown at the point of sale. Payment is processed by Stripe; Revyme does not store your card details. A purchase unlocks the Listing for your account per Section 4.
6. Refunds and Right of Withdrawal
Marketplace purchases are digital content delivered immediately. In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Code de la consommation, by acquiring a Listing you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun.
Independently of the above, if a paid Listing is materially defective or materially misdescribed, contact us at hello@revyme.com within 14 days of purchase and we will review the case; where justified we will refund and reverse the Creator accrual.
7. Infringement Claims and Takedowns
If you believe a Listing infringes your rights, notify us at hello@revyme.com with: identification of your work, the Listing URL, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorized. We will review promptly and may remove the Listing, suspend the Creator, and — where the claim concerns extracted closed-source content — use Section 4.4 identifiers in our review. Creators will be given an opportunity to respond.
8. Enforcement
Violations of these terms may result in removal of content, reversal of payouts, suspension or termination of your account, and — for violations of Section 4.3 — referral of evidence to the affected Creator. Sections 4, 6, and 7 survive termination of your account.
9. Changes
We may update these Marketplace Terms following the process in the main Terms & Conditions. Continued use of the marketplace after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
